The Mayumbe scented candle is made with a hand-blown glass by our glass craftsmen, scattered with colors ranging from duck blue to saffron yellow. The Mayumbe forest is part of the Congo Basin forest, the second largest tropical forest in the world with 2 million km2. North and south, this forest is a mosaic of wooded savannas with exceptional biodiversity, endangered by the ever-increasing deforestation. Located at an altitude of 600 to 700 meters, the Mayumbe forest is very humid and its temperature ranges between 17 and 20 degrees

Use

The quality of our scented candles involves a specific burning ritual. Each time the candle is burnt, it is important to wait until the entire surface liquefies before extinguishing the candle. This will prevent the formation of craters which are unattractive and make burning more difficult. The first time you light your candle, it will always burn for longer than on subsequent occasions. Allow time for the first layer of wax to liquefy completely. The length of time this takes varies depending on the size of the candle.

Never burn the last 1cm (1/2 inch) of wax to avoid flames burning against the glass.

Colors appear thanks to the inclusion of confetti or strands of glass that appear randomly, as if by magic. hand-blown glass is a precious technique that embodies the craftsman's know-how.

For parcels to other countries, delivery is usually made within 3 to 8 business days. Delivery time to Switzerland may be longer. For delivery to islands, please contact our customer service department.

Delivery is free for orders over €150 - £150 for the UK. For Switzerland, delivery is free for orders over 200 CHF. For orders below this amount, please refer to the information below.
