Beschreibung

Die Duftkerze Utopia wird aus einer handwerklichen Keramik hergestellt, in die Symbole der Ureinwohner graviert sind. Die Emaille in hellem und mattem Türkis wird durch vertikale und zufällig verlaufende Linien unterbrochen. Utopia ist eine Gemeinschaft, die 250 km von Alice Springs entfernt liegt und hauptsächlich von Frauen geführt wird. Sie ist für Batikmotive bekannt, die von Künstlern mit einem sehr besonderen Stil realisiert werden.

Nutzung

The quality of our scented candles involves a specific burning ritual. Each time the candle is burnt, it is important to wait until the entire surface liquefies before extinguishing the candle. This will prevent the formation of craters which are unattractive and make burning more difficult. The first time you light your candle, it will always burn for longer than on subsequent occasions. Allow time for the first layer of wax to liquefy completely. The length of time this takes varies depending on the size of the candle.

Never burn the last 1cm (1/2 inch) of wax to avoid flames burning against the glass.

Our ceramic candle collections are a reminder of a noble material from the earth, the one we knead, mold and glaze. All our ceramics are handmade in Portugal. A mold is first developed and reproduced in all our sizes. The material is poured into it and then dried and hardened. After a few days, the object is taken out of the mold and plunged into the glaze to cover it with color. This is when the final transformation takes place: the piece is fired at very high temperatures in a kiln. The magic of the material and the work of craftsmen who practice the same gestures from generation to generation.
