OUR KNOW-HOW

The manufacture of Baobab Collection candles requires the unique know-how of specialised craftsmen. The raw materials are selected with the greatest care to make each candle an exceptional object of high quality.

Hand of craftsman

Each Baobab Collection candle is hand-poured in our workshops and each element of the production process is carried out by the best European suppliers. Several hand-pouring phases are necessary to guarantee a homogeneous burning of high quality. Some of our limited editions are made of precious leathers selected in Italy, and made by our craftsmen in our workshops, who have mastered the art of engraving perfectly.

The final touch to this artisanal know-how is the placing of the ribbon and the black label: the identity of the brand.

All our raw materials come from Europe: Each glass is mouth-blown in Poland, a country renowned worldwide for its glass artisans. It is a mineral wax (paraffin) selected for its burning quality. The wicks, made of Egyptian cotton, also come from Germany, and the precious leathers of the limited editions come from the best Italian tanneries. Each olfactory creation is an invitation to an exotic journey. The packaging is designed and manufactured in Belgium.

Our candles are made of more than 90% of the purest paraffin. The paraffin in Baobab Collection candles is highly refined to remove as many harmful substances as possible. A study carried out by an independent certified laboratory has not detected any emissions of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) such as benzene, formaldehyde and acrolein when burning Baobab Collection candles.

This study also showed that the combustion and thermal degradation products are less with the paraffin used to make our candles than with the vegetable wax. Burning Baobab Collection candles has no consequences for the environment or health.
